chickens are fun. i had to get written permision from my landlord to have 6 hens stipulations were for home use only and no cockrals

Yay! OK guys.. I wanna cry I am so happy. So, they said I need to write a letter to the HOA stating how many chickens I plan to have so they have it on file in case someone (neighbor) asks. They told me the other home in my neighborhood has more than 1 chicken but they didn't disclose how many. The secretary lady said I need to keep noise factor in mind when determining how many chickens.

I just can't believe it's true! Now.. hopefully my neighbors don't complain. I need to find a quiet chicken LOL

That's wonderful that you can have chickens. I also live in the county but have a Homeowner's Association. I've been following the different comments and find them very helpful. I haven't found out yet what I would need to do to start the process.
