Alright, we've got her back just two days ago. They drained the abscess, but couldn't get it all out due to thickness. I'm having to give her 1/2 dropperful of Lincocin twice each day in hopes her body will clean itself up, since her leg is still unusable. I've talked to the man who helps manage the land and barn and we've both speculated that a rat bite is within reason. They dig underneath our concrete flooring of the duck's coop; sealing it off would just mean more holes under that one. He says that if we kept a cat in the runs and let it out at night when the animals are put up, it would help terminate the invading rats. I'm thinking of asking my grandfather if I could borrow his barn cat for a week to test this idea. Any thoughts?
