wow, that something out of a CSI episode, its so scary to think that something like that could happen, but atleast when these kinds of stories are posted parents get more aware of the fact that were not living in the 1950's anymore, there are more and more sick twisted people coming around everyday

This one's a hoax according to Snopes.com and a couple of other similar sites.

That said though, TY for sharing it b/c it's a reminder that parents are responsible for their children every minute of the day and should be taking that responsibility seriously.

The 'Code Adam' is not a hoax though. Walmart & Sam's club was first to implement and now many other stores have something similar.

The story was emailed to me from a friend> So if its a HOAX then I will take it down, I dont have time to check things out as some. But it should be a warning to those who have kids!

Even though this particular story isn't true...many others are, and it does illustrate how easily and quickly something terrible can happen. Thank you for letting us all know about Code Adam. Something like this is every parent's worst nightmare.

You know I see that story so often, always happening in different places, but it really did happen exactly like that in a department store in my hometown about 25 years ago. That was long before the internet and my Aunt was the security guard on duty when it happened, so yes the scenario has been played out, probably more than once...
