Please show me your rabbit hutches!

Maybe a dumb question, once each rabbit goes up the ramp, do they go to there own nest. I want to build a pin similar to this and would like 4 separate nest inside, (all females), but want them to be able to have some freedom to move and hop around during the daytime

Sorry it has taken so long to reply. I currently have 3 does in this setup. They all had kits within days of one another. Each has a nest box on the inside and they are all doing great! They do NOT bother one an other and 2 had kits in the same box. They take turns nursing all of them. I did provide 3 boxes but they decided to do their own thing! There are NO barriers inside just a big open space with nest boxes.

Could you post some pics of the inside of the hutch? Im wanting to build a hutch for my angora rabbit and have been looking for something that would look nice and be functional at the same time. I'm planning to get a second doe sometime soon and a buck next spring possibly and I'll be doing a small amount of breeding.

Here's mine(I have 4 of the top hutches) and the bottom one,we took a stackable wire cage and put wood around it and made it for outside use

Here is my first hutch. I am new to rabbits and building rabbit hutches, so I am sure over time I fill find things that I don't like in this design. It needs a coat of paint on the outside, but I will cross that bridge when the weather warms up. Its a 10' long x 5' wide hutch. 5 sections so each section is 2'x5'. The back 18" are an enclosed den. The front remaining space is a wire floor and the top of the den boxes are available for the rabbits to hop up on to relax off of the wire and still in the "free air" space. My only complaint so far is that I assumed the rabbits would not want to poop in their boxes or on top of their boxes. I was wrong, 2 of them poop on top all the time, the 3rd poops inside the box all the time. Oh well, nothing that cant be cleaned.

My water system was a design I found on youtube being used for chickens. The cooler gets filled and the water and has a heater in it. The water is pumped out of the cooler through the hose to each of the nipples, the hose returns the water back to the cooler keeping it moving back to the heater. At minus 2 my water was not frozen and the rabbits were drinking water with out any problems. Obviously if I lose power this system will not work. I also think this will work great in the summer because it will allow me to add ice to the cooler providing the rabbits with cold water during the heat of the summer. I will be building one of these for my chickens next winter as well.

Here is my doe Babs standing up and stretching out.

Here is a shot of the water system. This has been working really well through the super cold last few weeks we have had.

This black box houses all of the electrical sockets/plugs keeping everything dry and out of the weather.

Here is my buck Thumper checking out what is going on. The water jugs you see were hanging there temporarily, I had to grab them the other day because we lost power in a snow storm. By the time I got them filled and out to the hutch the power came back on.

Here is my titled coonhound Crockett keeping an eye on the homestead.

This is a shot of the back of the hutch. Each den box can be accessed from back here. Also you can see Babs up on the den box relaxing.

Do they stay warm enough in the winter? We just got our first rabbit in years, and we are looking at building hutch for her, but I want it to be weather proof for her and any more we get. We are in WI.

Rabbits tolerate cold very well. Heat is a much bigger problem. That and dampness caused by poor ventilation.
