Wow gorgeous! This is a first for me. Never heard of Shetlands.. but I do like what I see. Please would you show us more pics, and tell us more about them? I dream of blue eggs

Shetlands are very new to the U.S. it is a landrace from the Shetland Islands so an open canvas to improve the genetics. While I love the top hat it makes them easy prey so mine don’t free range This flock came from Greenfire Farms They remind me a lot of the Cream Legbar but are much calmer, especially the cockerels so far.

This is Ethel. She's a cross between a Crested Cream Legbar and a Wheaten Marans. I expected her to lay green eggs but so far she's has laid eight rose colored tan eggs in her first nine laying days. She is a very odd color for the cross breeding, has a nice little crest, and feathered legs. She's the flock overseer and keeps everyone in line.
