Please somebody help!

When they first got here they were all doing alright except one black was wobbly. But then the blacks kept dying and dying until there were only 3 left. Then one of the blue kicked off and then a black and a blue are trying but I'm not going to let them. It is like they just get too tired to eat. So I open their mouths and just put some mash in there. Every little bit. I've given them everything under the sun. Getting ready to give them a little yogurt. The black is going to be alright I think. And the blue might make it too as long as I keep waking her up and feeding her. I have no idea what the problem is. But I doubt coccidiosis as they have all been on corid since thursday. Best guess, really poor breeding on cackles part. Last year I got 7 bourbon red turkeys and one bbb and they all did great. The chick's that shipped with the turkeys from cackle are doing well. But the turkeys themselves not so hot for sure. They just get so tired they stop eating and stand around and starve if you let them that is.

It definitely sounds like a bad hatch or a helped hatch either way no excuse on crackles part.

Good luck with the rest hope it works out

The blue slate died. I think the black is going to make it though. Hopefully

well some turkeys have to be raised with a chick or a hen because they seem to almost "forget" to eat and drink it's werid i have never seen that with any other type of poultry but turkeys

I've never had turkeys without chicks mainly because I have lots of chickens each year and a few turkeys and they get along and both seem to benefit from being together. Turkeys stop all night time predators in the coop, they change the nature of some chicken viruses so they are not harmful to either bird, and the chicks are better at staying alive in the beginning. If only turkeys made smaller poops and would sleep in my coop at nights. Lol. My last turkeys would sometimes sleep in the coop windows, but usually on the roof. Sometimes in the middle of the ramp. Nothing like hearing a huge turkey being blown across the roof of your house in a strong wind and then stomping back to where they used to be sleeping. Lol.

At the feed store where I got my chicks from they had marbles in the feed and waterter's in the turkey bin's and when my kids asked why, the employee said it was to attrack the bird to the food/water because turkeys were to stupid to eat and drink on their own.
