Please talk me out of buying more chicks

alright with you I will do it to one of mine as getting silkies 2 as my broodies

It's perfectly fine if you use this idea. I love it for broody hens and chicks. My birds also love it as a nest box when it isn't being used by a broody. This mama actually started setting in this box which made it easier to set her up in my 5"x 5" pvc run to separate her from the flock but not isolate her. It is perfect for a broody hen and for a mama with young chicks. Here is a picture of the run. This is when it was being used my my previous mama and babies. Sides are 1/2" hex chicken wire and the lid is covered in 2" hex chicken wire for strength and a piece of tarp to keep off the rain.

I have made a couple runs like that separate birds if I bring them from places unknown
or peeps keeping them from being eaten by our cats
