Please tell me I'm not crazy ~ chick baths

I've been giving chick-chick a bath when she's really yukked up. She tends to sit in her poop sometimes, AUGH.

So far, it's been what, 3 times this week! Using mild dishwashing soap mixed with water.

I am amazed she likes the water.

Please tell me I'm not insane...and if I am...well, tell me that too!

Why does she sit in poop - is she roosting at night or camping out in a nest box?

I would imagine a 3 times a week chicken bath will get old real soon - perhaps you can solve the sitting in poop issue.

Right now she's in temp housing until I can get a better arrangement up. I am thinking that she roosts all night and some days we just don't get in there early enough to clean things out.

It's not too bad though, this bath thing only b/c she likes it in the water!
