No. My favorite already turned out to be a boy last week. This is probably my snuggliest one.Darn it anyway.Sorry...it's 100% Cockerel
Boys do tend to be more friendly until they hit puberty, huh?Sorry, but it really does look like a cockerel![]()
I'm hoping when my girls get a little older they'll be more cuddly. I'm seriously heartbroken about my Reba (Reebee as I've been calling him). I told him I'll keep him until he gets mean. If he gets along with everyone forever he can stay. I don't care about eggs, so as long as he's my little snuggle bunny he'll always have a home with me. Maybe he'll get along with my other favorite who turned out to be a boy last week.I'm just a bit nervous because I've heard that RIR roosters are really aggressive...
I'm so glad to hear that!!! Out of all my chickens, I think the most problematic relationship is between my little cochin bantam pullet Munchkin and my girl turned boy cockeral who I haven't renamed yet. Munchkin is a feisty little thing and I think he's had a gut full of her crap at this pointI hope he stays friendly for you! I've had many roosters and only one was mean. I also keep several together at a time with no issues!
Oh, I hope so! He sure is right now. It would break my heart if he turned into a jerk. I need to think of a new name for him now. I haven’t even renamed my boy from last week yet. Here’s to hoping your little one stays sweet and snuggly! I had a RIR cockerel once that was the absolute sweetest thing. He was even more friendly than my pullets! Maybe yours will be that way as well!
