(i posted this in the guinea forum, but have gotten no replys) I walked into the room my brooder is in this afternoon to discover that the heatlamp had been left on all morning with the windows closed, one of my week old guineas was totally spaced out; looking sleepy and unresponsive, holding its wings away from its body, no desire to run away or stand, when it did try to move its horribly uncoordinated. and clumsy. i brought it and another (for company) into the house to cool off, and gave then some cool fresh water...i had to co-erse to keet in question to drink, but it immediately started to perk up, and now is standing (sort of) and has its eyes open. none of the young chickens in that room seemed the least bit bothered by the heat...so now im hoping that the keet was overheated and nothing more serious....any thoughts????
