A few Quail egg souffles, I just throw eggs in blender whole shells and all cook and feed them back to any laying birds. I always feed extra eggs back to my birds they love them, some eggs just get broken raw in pens for them to eat. Once cooked and bagged they can be stored with no waste and savings on feed.

Same for me! Tons of my eggs have gone bad sitting out on the counter because we can't keep up with their egg-laying.

I use a local feed that is 20%. I feed it to all birds, including chicks I intend for meat, with oyster shell on the side. My birds semi free range. I say semi because I have only about 1/3 - 1/2 acre fenced in. Feed is available 24/7. I have 5 1 year old Beilefelder hens, and 5 3 - 4 year old Barred Rock and Chanticler hens. Since Jan 1 to 1 June I have 890 eggs from these 10 hens. I also have constant problem since May 5th of having 2 -3 hens boody all the time. More than before I started feeding the 20 % feed.

I also feed 1/3 cup of cracked corn every morning when I let the out of the Coop.

Lots of variable are involved in how many eggs are laid. Regional daylight hours and weather patterns, breed, breed age and health, feed, and so on.
I don’t supplement light, winter was mild, and my 6 layers have given over 300 eggs so far. I lost one layer 6 wks ago and one hen currently broody.
My feed is Prince 18% Allflock pellet- company is in Marshfield, WI. My flock lives it- always fresh, too.

Prince 18% all flock pellet.
4 two yr old layers; 2 one yr old layers. 1 lost to disease 6 wks ago, 1 broody for last 3 weeks.

Too many variables to egg laying- feed isn’t everything, but a good feed yields better health. Better health yields better eggs.
