Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Sorry about the respiratory problems your birds are having. You should post on our emergency link that luvmypets has given you. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

After a flock goes through some of these respiratory diseases, the survivors become carriers for the rest of their days. So every time you bring in new birds, they are going to catch what they original flock had/has. So it is entirely up to you if you wish to cull and start over. However bacteria can linger all over the place. So you would need to strip the entire place down, scrub, use ammonia, paint, and get everything completely disinfected. You can also start completely over on new grounds.

If you know exactly what disease the flock had, there are vaccines for some of these respiratory ailments you can give to new birds.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You've gotten some good links/suggestions above, hope you are able to figure out what your birds have and how to deal with it.

Sorry this is being caught between a rock and a hard place. I hope the young ones can be successfully treated - then you could keep a closed flock so it doesn't go farther.
