Pls solve - does feather color or earlobe color determine egg color?

I was so disappointed to find out that silkies don't lay turquoise eggs.

You can look at it this way,
A Rhode Island Red lays a Brown egg, a Red Leghorn lays a White egg.
A Barred Rock lays a Brown egg, a Barred Holland lays a White egg.
A Buff Orpington lay a Brown egg, a Buff Catalana lays a White egg.
A White Rock Lays a Brown egg, a White Minorca lays a White egg.
