Plymouth Rock doesn't want to stand

I have a girl that isn't wanting to stand up. She stays on the ground or in a nesting box with her wings spread out. I checked for injuries and don't see any. Legs and feet are in good condition. I don't think she's egg bound. Any thoughts?

Could she be broody?
Does she growl at you when you try to move her off the nest, flatten out like a pancake or when you take her off the nest does she fluff out and cluck?

It's possible. This is my first batch of hens so I'm new to this. I will keep an eye on her and make sure she is eating and drinking and see if there is any improvement.

If you have a chance, search some videos and compare her to broody hens.

If she isn't acting like any of them, please post back and let us know.

So she doesn't mind being picked up. I got a good look at her feet and legs. Her crop is not full. She's eating and drinking when I give her food and water. It's more like she can't stand up.

How old is she?
Was she vaccinated for Marek's?
What does her poop look like?
When you examined her feet and legs, did they respond to movement, could she grip your fingers, any swelling or discoloration of the hocks or joints?
Does she lay down with her legs under her or are they splayed out?
If she is old enough to lay eggs, when was the last time she laid an egg?

Separate her so she can have her own food and water and you can monitor her closely. Offer some poultry vitamins in her water if you have them.
