I will be getting all the colors of Plymouth Rock Large fowl again, but because I am starting out fresh again, I won't be selling eggs for several years. I plan on hatching out between 800 and a 1,000 chicks of Large Rocks for the first couple years. I may have a few breeders for sale in the fall and spring time, but the rest are going to be butchered and sold as such. It brings me a decent income to help pay the feed bills. This way I can be picky as to which birds I keep for myself as breeders.

Hi David, what is the proper eye color? I googled it but found nothing. Mine have the yellow beaks and legs and a brownish/orange colored eye. As you can see in my pics a couple posts up. Are mine half way decent examples of blue rocks? thanks, Tony


RareRoo, unfortunately I no longer have my blue roo, I currently have 3 of the light splash and the darker splash (pictured with the roo) hens only, I need to get another roo.
so till then, I can`t offer any fertile eggs yet.

Your blues are better than any other I've seen on this forum by far, (a lot of the others, would get dq'd at shows), but to me they appear to have been crossed with orpingtons somewhere back. So all it takes is patience, and a lot of chicks each year, keeping only the best.

David so we need to know when you hit Georgia - my daughter lives in ATL. I need good buffs.

Breeder quality more than show though. I'm shooting for a solid free range flock of good heritage quality birds.
