Thank you! I just realized my wyandottes need a pen and itll be easiest to build one and have a fence divider between the 2 breeds. and since wyandottes fly higher especially the lighter weight ones, i think im just guna go ahead and make a 6ft fence! but no more than that cause the taller the fence the bigger the hole in my pocket

Ive debated that ever since I've purchased my ameraucanas. I have a well built coop, that should be anything but easy to penetrate. And I'm working on a chicken house as we speak. so the pens will just be their day time playpen. but my main concern is how big my pens are that im building, 50ft perimeter on one, and 48ft on another maybe 64ft matters if i decide on a 3rd sector or not. So the big problem is money and extra support to hold up all the wire it would take to cover the top of these large pens. therefore i might start out with just the outside pen, then add a top wire once more $ supply begins to regenerate

I hatched my first BR chickies.... 6 I will try to sex them tomorrow

In the next week or two I will start hatching my own Blue and Reg Barred Rocks. These will be second generation Blue Barred Rocks

the barring will improve. No sexlinks anymore

100% blue barred rocks (roos with 2 copies) So pretty too....

I also hatched 4 solid blue rocks (not sure on all the colors yet) for the other pen full of blue and splash rock pullets only a sex link roo for them right now.

Stan, How many black roos you got now? I am going to FL for a graduation soon.....

I finally culled my roosters . All I have now are 3 barred and 1 splash that I am going to use for blue sex-links. No blacks at all. ..stan
