Do you have any from him? I know he has other breeds too. I met him at a show 2? years ago and I saw that cockerel at a show, and he was prettyYou should!!!!![]()
I do understand on the dispatching; I cannot dispatch birds that I hatch. I do take them to someone who will do it & process them for me. I thought for awhile I might have difficulty eating them, but thankfully, I don't. It pleases me to know they lived a good life, and are now providing sustenance. But, it's not for everyone.
Sounds like a neat show, and that you got some good feedback from the judge. I love to hear about them giving detailed feedback! You can learn SO much from them. Who was the judge?
I did see his name many times on the Plymouth Rock breeders website.No, we do not have any of Doug's birds. Mr Akers is acknowledged as on the most distinguished Rock breeders. Good for you. The White Rock is particularly dear to my heart.
