OOOhh, that EE looks beautiful!

It does take some time for the males to get their beautiful adult feathering in; IMO, they don't look gorgeous until about 9-10 months. Then, they just keep getting better.

You can really see the SPPR influence on that EE. She's nice and large, which is not common for EEs. I'd like to continue with her.. I'm sure she will lay better than the hatchery EEs I have in the winter.

Oh great, they are going to make me wait forever for their prettiness. :p How am I ever going to choose which ones to process?

I know one for sure with a lot of brown, but many are identical. I can't very well raise 10 boys to 9-10 months to pick from. Any tricks to narrow it down some?

Help me out here. Who's blood line is this female from USA Wynette or Canada?

Very nice birds good color and type. Look forward to your reply's. bob

Bob

These are Canadian birds.....isn't that female DARN nice??!! I'd put her in my pens (she's just the wrong color darn it)

Pretty certain that Wynette is growing some out from this bloodline....she will have to confirm, but I think that's right

What do you mean by THAT, she's the wrong color! Shame on you! She's exactly the RIGHT color!

Perhaps YOUR birds are the wrong color!

You guys crack me up. For sure, there is a variety for anyone's fancy!

And yes, I am growing out some chicks - now juveniles - from PEI Chickens. I am MOST grateful to have them...I have thanked her so much now that she probably rolls her eyes every time she sees a note from me!

I will be keeping her line pure, and and hoping to begin hatching in very early spring. Once I've got a quadzillion on the ground for myself, I'll be happy to share the love & spread them around to anyone interested.
