Plymouth rocks vs wyandottes

I am wondering as to the pros and cons of these breeds. I live in Illiniois so they must be winter hardy. They will be free ranging plus in breeding pens. The roosters must be friendly. I love the color choices in each. So how do they go up against each other?

I have both and they are both beautiful, friendly and curious. I myself have a soft spot for the Barred Rocks.

As far as cold hardy goes, I think the Wyandottes have a slight edge there(I THINK).

But like the other folks said, get both!

The friendly rooster thing is a whole different story-that is kind of a crap shoot. There are many people on here with sweet, docile roos of all different breeds and many people with the more aggressive roos of all different breeds.
