Plywood Floor

So the 6 x 8 coop is now 8x 8. What type of plywood did you all use? What type and thickness? Our floor joist are on 16 inch centers. Thanks in advance

I didn't build the coop, my lawn man did. He used marine grade plywood so it wouldn't rot, I don't know how thick it was, probably just "regular" thickness. The coop is only 4 x 8.

FYI I also sealed the whole floor with blackjack 57 taking it 1 inch up the walls so theoretically I could hose it out if I wanted too. That makes for a great waterproof, slip proof floor and it seals all cracks up tight.

Our coop is 4'x6', we also used marine grade plywood. I can't remember the thickness though. Maybe 3/4" or 1"? I'm the only one that goes inside and I only weigh 130lbs. We also did 16" centers.
We came across some peel and stick flooring so I put that on the floor to make it easier to do a through cleaning once a year or if we had an illness. There's enough shavings that it isn't slippery.

We have an 8 x 12 coop with 3/4" plywood flooring. -sealed seams. We painted the flooring, and layered pine shavings after it dried. It has worked well for seven years.

The floor of the 6' by 8' coop is 1/2 inch regular grade plywood. I bought piece of linoleum to go on top of the plywood. That makes it very easy to clean out.

I also went with 3/4” plywood and put a sheet of linoleum over it. Easy clean.

My coop is 6x8 and I used 1 full and 1 half sheet of 3/4 inch thick treated plywood. Then I coated it with the black roofing paint. Some people don't like to use treated material in a coop. The wood from my floor down is treated, everything else is not treated. The floors always have bedding on them so I don't see here treated would cause a problem. Mines been in use for 3 years and not ill effects that I have seen.

We used 3/4 plywood, covered with sheet of linoleum. Coop is 6x8 and elevated about 2.5’ above the ground, so the access deck is also 3/4” plywood, but completely untreated/not painted. But there is a roof over most of the plywood, will be completed this year.
