Plz help my goose has been attacked!

Hi, this morning I found my year old goose laying down under the stairs with blood on her neck. I think she was attacked by my neighbors dog (who previously killed my goat). Her neck is folded over and she wont move it, she also is not interested in eating or drinking. We put her in the bath tub with a blanket and she is just standing there. Please help.

If you have photos of the wounds and how her neck is bent, I'm sure that will be helpful for the others.

In the meantime try to encourage her to drink, feed can wait, but dehydration can set in fairly quickly. I'm sure you have tended to her wounds, but you can flush those with saline or diluted betadine, then apply vetericyn or triple antibiotic ointment.

It sounds like you are trying to keep her as comfortable as you can and warm - that is good.

Hi, thank you so much for the reply she is moving her neck and eating and drinking she even was walking into my lap to cuddle. We found the wound and it was not that big. She is just sore and tired righ now.

She is actually doing good and we fond out the wound was just a small cut no worries we cleaned it and she is doing alot better thank you for your concern about my goosie.
