my hen is pacing back-and-forth in the nesting box what does this mean

Does she seem distressed? Have you checked to see if she has an egg stuck? Sometimes they can seem a little odd when they go into lay until they are settled and finally any an egg.

Yes she does and she keeps whining and going back and forth in the nesting box is she a bound or is she just getting ready to late I don't know but she keeps whining

Young pullets get stressed because they don't know what is going on. When they do lay an egg they seemed very surprised with it.
