She is 1 year and a half and I was wondering if it will be at 3:00 again tomorrow or can she lay in the morning tooCongrats on the egg! If she's new to laying, she may be all over the map for a while. Hens very usually lay in the am, but it can happen any time of day.
It might be... Did you just get her? If so, she'll get a rhythm. It depends on breed too. Sure she can lay in the am, most hens do. If she laid at 3 today, don't look for an early egg tomorrow though. Some lay every day and some don't. I bet one of the BYC eggsperts will have a better explanation for you. Maybe try looking in https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/18/chicken-behaviors-and-egglaying and posting your question there? She is 1 year and a half and I was wondering if it will be at 3:00 again tomorrow or can she lay in the morning too
