Returned to the PNW from Kaua'i after we finished raising our kids there. We had chickens galore but weren't considered backyard chickens ;) They ran the island with no predators except tourists and local kids ;)

We have 16 Brown Leghorns that are now about 6 weeks old. Looking like we have one rooster.

We decided to give it a shot after moving onto 3 acres and having more time as empty nesters. Now we have 16 new kids after raising 4 human kids!

My husband works in the tech world for the last 25 years at the same company. I'm a flight attendant for a major airline. We like to salmon fish, crab, shrimp, hike, camp, travel and relax!

Our biggest worry in this venture is PNW predators hurting our new babies. (Bears, cougars, coyotes, hawks, etc). Any advice there is appreciated!

Offer up all advice! We need it!
