As far as I know, this SD girl has never eaten grits, haha! Let alone cooked them. Tell me more!
It's corn meal cooked and served with milk or cream and usually cheese. I prefer fried mush which is cornmeal cooked in salt water, poured into a loaf pan, left to set up and then sliced thin and deep fried. Serve with butter and syrup.:drool
