Well, we just recorded our 7th "Self-Sufficient Homestead" Show today and have it up on iTunes.
We mention www.BackyardChickens.com almost every show.
And in this show we talk about "Choosing Chickens"
We did talk about the www.BackyardHatchery.com site I found out about on this site also. I hope they get a backyard hatchery close to me, other than my backyard that is.

Anyway, we love and promote this site regularly.
Thanks for being a great resource guy!

I just found the podcast on iTunes over the weekend. I’m only up to #3 so far. It’s really good. I hope you record many more. I have been listening to them on my iPhone while working on our new budding homestead. I like what you said about everything on the land needs to produce. With us even the earth itself will produce with a geothermal system that will even include a diy walk in freezer. First thing we did is put in an orchard of 28 apple trees last fall. And we now have 28 chickens to work the orchard and vineyard as organic pest and weed control, eggs are a plus. I will be posting to your forum on your website about our setup. Anyway I’m looking forward to more podcasts.

We have beem having LOTS of requests to talk more about backyeard chickens, so, we did a show Tuesday on choosing chickens and on Friday we kinda covred housing, not sure what is next, i guess maintainubg and feed.
