poems

This one actually got into the "Celebration" kids poetry book...

A raccoon sits alone at night
Watching the old wise owl take flight
He ponders and wonders why,
The old wise bird is allowed to fly
But he must walk along the ground,
Softly, without a sound.

Watcha think?

a chick haches,
and oh look!,
it has a sibling that maches,
it grows and grows and grows,
untill it has a chick that haches,
and has a sibling that maches

a flower bigins to grow,
out of a seed is where it go,
a bee comes a long,
buzzing its own little song,
it pollenats that flower along,
the flower drops a seed,
that bigins to grow,
out of the seed is where it go

it is beutifull,
it is wonderful,
it is full of wonder,
soft and gentle,
but rough and full of knots at times,
but in the end the cloudy day grows light once again,
lighter then it has ever been before,
oh!brighter than it has ever been before,
it is life

whacha think?

love is more than just an emotion,
it is more than just a word,
more than just a feeling,
it is a hope,
a dream,
somthing to share forever,
love is more than just an emotion

I love poetry but mine usually ends up dark. A teacher once told me that inspiring and uplifting work is the hardest to write. I believe she became a professor.

Anyway, here's an old one:

I dream of things
Others don’t see.
I dream I had wings
And that I could be
What they would never believe.
