Hi,
One of our younger hens has developed an odd condition. I've attached a picture of the hen in her isolation space. At first I thought it was a crop issue, but with further investigation it seems her neck has become 'S' shaped. As I understand it the crop is lower in the chest area. When I stretch out her neck, the chest area seems normal, and the neck feels extremely curved, into an 'S' shape. She's been like this for just over a week.
Is this crook neck (wry neck)? We've been treating it as such, with Vitamin E, rest, electrolytes and isolation.
Is my diagnosis correct? What else could it be?
Thanks!
