Caught poison ivy clearing trees and brush behind the barn for the pea run. Doctor visit and meds, more money into this adventure. Sure hope my eggs hatch.
Does poison ivy affect peafoul?

you poor thing
stuff hurt my they even eat the sumac berries without any ill effects.
I feel for you i got the worst case of poision sumac many years ago, has it inside and out that is what happens when ya inhail the smoke , be carefull if you burn it.
Get well soon, i had to wear tube socks on my arms at night it ozzed so bad, half of my body was covered even my head, it was aweful.

There is a new product on the market for Poison ivy, oak or sumac called Zanfel. It's at WalMart, I know, and is quite expensive, but will clear a rash in a day. It takes an hour for the urushiol to penetrate the skin, so that first hour is critical to avoid any rash. But, for G**d's sake don't ever burn it. If you can't recognize it enough to keep it out of your burn pile, you should not be blundering about in the woods

Plus, also with the amount of Zanfel in the tube, you can use it time and time again. I think it worked out to something like 15-20 doses ...so even though it costs a heck of a lot, it's worth it! I use to have to go to the doctor immediately and within 24 hours my body would be broke out in poison ivy nasties, blistering....but Zanfel has taken care of any poison ivy issues. p.s. you can get a better deal on eBay :)

Interesting I will have to try it. When I get it its bad straight to the doc for a shot. And some oral steroids. I was going to see about borrowing someone's goat to clear the area.

I used to get poison ivy badly until I found Fels Naptha, the laundry detergent bar... although a good oil cutting dish soap works well too. Now my cats can bring it in on their fur and I may get a small blister but nothing like how I used to break out.
