Poisoned Hen??

I'm completely heart broken last night I lost my hen and I think she was poisoned by our neighbor, I noticed her acting strange lately not much of an appetite and not walking around much. Last night I came home and she was sitting in the corner head down couldn't walk and her head was shaking. I kept her inside and she passed away about an hour later hand raised her from a day old and have no idea what it could have been but poison! Our neighbors arnt very happy about us having them and I have seen them chasing them (we live on an island with wild chickens) people just treat them like pests here. Anyway I could have her tested or should I contact humane society

I would do both. The Humane Society can put you in contact with who you need to speak to regarding this issue. I am pretty sure this falls under the auspices of Animal Control, but if you do not have an AC unit operating in your city/town then the Humane Society can help you find the resources you need.

In the meantime, you need to put her carcass on ice for necropsy. If you are interested in having her tested she needs to be as fresh as possible.
