Our duck got her bill stuck in our chain link fence.

Our year old duck got her head and bill stuck in our chain link fence. I have cleaned it and she’s drinking water. The swelling has gone down some but her bottom bill is crooked. She has tried to eat but not sure she got much. I wetted down her pellets in a deep bucket and she didn’t touch it.

I don’t know what else to do besides give her time. The last three photos are this morning. We found her last night stuck.

Do you know a vet who might help you? Bill injuries are very painful for days. Hers looks crooked, so it may be broken. You could learn how to tube feed her on a temporary basis until she feels better. Feeding tubes and syringes are available on Amazon. KayTee Exact feed is what people use for tube feeding chickens.
