Poisonous Grasses?

I was just wondering if maiden grass and porcupine grass are poisonous to ducks. I have northern pintails soon to be moved into their aviary and don't want to take any chances. Thanks.

I have never heard of poisonous grasses. Your local agricultural extension office can tell you. Critters tend to leave poisonous stuff alone unless they are starving.

I never bothered either. My meadow has plants that a poisonous to humans and perhaps other animals. My ducks have tried everything and some things they wont touch. Ironically some of them are not poisonous. I guess they have a good palate, because they certainly love some items and others not so much.
