Hmm...If you wait to pick the poke weed for the chickens until the berries are ripe, has it gone from a “weed” to a “crop”?

I make that change in categorization. No berry picking here, just bend the plants over.

Dude... My chickens totally ate this stuff today... Are they pretty much going to die or get sick now?

hey, your reply was posted 6 years ago, i’m not sure if you’re active anymore but did your chickens get sick and/or die after they ate it? my chicken just ate a berry and i’m worried about her.

I would start a new thread about it at this point . If you read the rest of the thread it's pretty self-explanatory though.

Don’t worry mine eat the berries the leaves also. My ducks do too. They’ve been alive for a few years now.
