So, one of our ducklings who people noticed was a bit pokey is now being a bully. It looks like its sister is having her wing tips nipped, and this is just not satisfactory. For this evening we are separating the bully from the other two ducklings for some peace. But, what is a long term solution. They are 4 and 5 weeks old, so not old enough to join the big ducks outside

Are they still in the brooder? Thats a common problem of being bored in a small brooder

They live in a wardrobe box. About 36.25x21.

Pokey seems to do it in their box and in the tub. We have two boxes and were thinking of creating a door between them to set them up together. If they have more room, will Pokey lay off the pokings and nipping?

i cant gaurentee more room will work but its worked for me, and alot of other folks too

If you had some cheap fencing and stakes you could make a pen inside your pen for them, so they can see the adults and get used to them a bit to

They seem to be good with the new set up. Food is on one section, water in the other.

They get 2 bathtub excursions a day, for about 45 minutes. They do not want to get out! After bath, they get on our covered, kong sized bed for preening and general cuddling. We had to move their "house" out of our room and into the kitchen nook, so now they walk from our room to the nook for house time.

Today, we set up a pen outside for their for time outside. The OG ducks gathered and talked extensively about their presence. Cupcake, our male scovy, really wanted to meet them, but no dice. Storm, the older duckling, actually hissed and pecked at Cupcake to back off. I was impressed. The ducklings love outside. It will be hard to bring them!

HAHAHA, no, it is covered with washable puppy pads and thick towels to prevent accidents on the bed itself. We also sit on it with them so they can only go where we want them!

Ack, if there were no coverings, they would never be on there. Poop machines!
