Polcarbonate panels to side a coop?

I would like to know if anyone has used these for a wind break for their run. I need to have a windbreak on the north and west sides, the east and the south side would be open. Most of our strong winds are from the north, northwest in the winter. But I would like it clear or semi clear to let in more light. has anyone done this?

yes....my vegetable yard used to be walled in them, and the front wall of my duck coop is a wall of the panels.

you just need to remember that the wind will be hard on them, so give them as much support as possible.

I just finished adding my sunroom to the coop/run. It's about 8'x8'. Going to block off the lower hardware cloth triangle and the vertical rectangle midwall with plastic for winter.

Not sure how durable it will be long term, but I'm happy with it, birds like it. In wisconsin also.

I was considering winterizing the run with those at first, but after an e-mail exchange with a manufacturer (he said that their products would not be suitable for the task, they had up to 5mm thick sheets), and pricing the thicker stuff, I went with corrugated plastic instead. It's only been up for a week now, so I can't tell you much about how well it's worked, but we have had some pretty stiff winds that haven't affected it in any way. The spot is located a bit out of the wind though. But I expect this to be better in winter, it shouldn't break as easily in the cold. I needed about 12 square meters, and that cost about 130 euros. The cell plastic would have been about 250.
