My "polish" (non-crested one) isn't a Polish? I thought it was weird that it looked so different. They were sold together in the same pen at the feed store as Polish. I had a feeling that those two were boys...more aggressive than the other two (I also have a black silkie that I absolutely know is a girl because of her timid behavior). Bummer. The one I thought was a Polish is a neat chick. Though the real crested Polish is the sweetest and smartest of them all...she started hopping on high perch to get the dried mealworms, then she'd hop on my arm. Sweetest little thing in the world...knows her name too!
Thanks so much and would be very grateful to know the breed of the 3rd one...even though it's a roo and I'll have to give it away....:~(
yes hes not a polish...he has no crest, coloration is also wrong for a polish (if i remember the polish colors right), and the comb is completely wrong for a polish as well as for what he is i have no clue but he reminds me of a breed but cant think of the name :-/ also dont let behavior fool yea either sometimes its the cockerels that act shy and all and the hens that are fuss butts
Thank you! I'm a newbie, but I think they're pretty darn cute! It looks like I've got a Japanese banasm--I think Lot's o' Cluckin is right! I've looked at the Japanese pics and they look exactly like Tux.
