So our new plans are to add a few new breeds to our flock and we've been looking at the Silkies and Polish Breeds
We've been told by a few people that these breeds can be hard to introduce to other different breeds of chooks as they can be bullied alot, is this true?
All our chooks that we have are pretty docile, our current ratio of chooks is 1 roo to 3 hens and they all get along great which we are really happy about and they are all free ranged, but we are still a little concerned from what we have been told as we've only just started getting full time into breeding these beautiful creatures
The last thing we want to do is bring in more chooks who are going to be harmed.
Our breeds we currently have are
Rhode Island red
Isa Brown
Australian Langshan
Barnavelder
Araucana
New hampshire
Silver laced Wyandotte
Buff Orphington
Buff Sussex
Speckled Sussex
Light Sussex
Silver Sussex
Welsummer
Ancona
Indian game
Silver Dorking
Old English game (Bantams)
