Polish babe's matteredeyes

My two young Black Polish with white top hats both have matter closing up both eyes. Non of the other chickens have it.

They have a bad smell, like infection. I have separated them from the rest of the flock and put them on terrimican (can't spell)

What can I wash their eyes off with and can I put some ointment on them?

Try a warm cloth. Get some terrmycin ointment. You can get it at your local feed store....Good luck. You can give them a little "hair cut" around the eyes as well

With the eyes, the smell, and the fact that you're in Florida, it sounds like it might be the beginnings of Coryza. Do you have a vet that can test?
