Is this pip ok? Its just a small crack surrounding 2 millimetres of loose shell .

So excited for you. I have my first set of polish in my incubator now. You will love your Brinsea mini. We love ours!!! After quite a few hatches now I can tell you, be patient each little egg does their thing in their own time. Can't wait to see pics

Would love to have the ova easy cabinet from Brinsea :drool

Well, I woke to a new baby this morning. All fluffy and lovely. The second one hatched about an hour ago and the third has just pipped.

Here's Uno, the first to hatch. They are Chocolate Polish. Are they usually yellow at hatch??

He/she is a little character.
This was the description when I purchased the eggs.

"6x Rare WC Chocolate Mottled Frizzle Poland Polish Bantam Hatching Eggs
A lovely breeding group of Poland bantams consisting of a wc black mottled and a wc chocolate mottled cockerel over 5 wc chocolate frizzle, 3 wc chocolate mottled and wc blue hens. The non mottled hens are mottled carriers. You should expect any of the following in either smooth or frizzle feather ... wc chocolate, wc chocolate mottled, wc black, wc black mottled, wc blue, wc blue mottled, wc khaki and wc khaki mottled.

Maybe these are new colours the breeder has or something you can get I really in the US. I've not heard of mottled or white crested chocolate ones here in the UK.

Will be interesting to see what your other chicks colours turn out to be and how Uno turns out in the end :pop

Thank you for all your help! I'll keep you posted on the chicks and what colours they end up :) I'm in Scotland :)

Here are my blue white crested frizzles - 3wks old.

I'm going to look at these very interesting colours if you are in Scotland :D Could get some posted to me  Did you go see the parent birds? I got some supposedly Tolbunt polish and she was very sheepish when I went to pick them up. Kept me at the door and got rid of me as fast as possible. Set 16 eggs @£3 each, 12 hatched but only 4 were Tolbunt when they hatched :(
