Polish breed temperament.

I have one year-and-a-half old Polish cock that I just brought home a week ago, and he's pretty nervous because he hasn't had much human contact and he's around a couple new cocks who want to beat him up, but when I pick him up and set him in my lap for one-on-one time he settles down pretty quickly and enjoys being scratched about his chin and neck. When I let him down off he goes again.

He's twice the size of my 8mo old sumatra cockerel and 3-4 times the size of my 9mo old silkie cockerel, but submissive to both of them. (Which is good for him, because any cock who doesn't get along with my beloved silkie can't stick around.)

TL;DR I've found the single polish I've interacted with to be slightly nervous, and very submissive thus far.

I have 6 Polish (1 buff laced, 4 silver laced, 1 gold laced) all 10 weeks old and so far very sweet and friendly. The silvers are very curious and good foragers, usually the first out the door in the morning. The buff laced is a roo, and a bit ditzy.... I think he was pecked on the head at about 6 weeks. The gold laced, Mercedes, is absolutely hilarious. She looks dead when she naps. Face down in the sand or grass, spread out in a way that has scared me more than once!
