I certainly hope this doesn't come across the wrong way to anyone. I have a question about my polish chick. She seems to be a little slow...I She is slightly older then my other chicks, but she seems to be a little less mentally developed than the others. Don't get me wrong, this little girl has a VERY special place in my heart and we do EVERYTHING we can to always make sure she is well accommodated. Some of the things she does are a little goofy to say the least but we could watch her for hours. I know certain things can have to do with the way their feathers are on their head, but not everything goofy she does would directly relate to that. She also doesn't perch or try and fly like the rest of them do. Is this something I should expect to come with time? I guess my main question is, is development a little slower in this breed? If its just her, that's ok to. Either way, She will always be very well taken care of and if she needs extra, she will get everything she needs. Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

This is my Sweet Elvira!!

polish are goofy chicken any way

and very delicate

and they grow slower than other breeds

yours btw looks like a cockerel

Thank you. :) how can you tell the sex of a polish? Well if Elvira is indeed an Elvis, :) we will continue to watch him grow and laugh at his crazy antics! Not to mention the ONE random black feather growing out of the top of his head! :)

Polish become quire distinct when the feathered crest comes in to feather

An Einstein Porcupine look is usually Cockerel Like your polish

and a Mushroom Super Mario Look is Pullet

Like bellow. one of mine that passed away
