Polish chickens almost 8 weeks old from TSC

LOL me too. This little chicken has gotten more people to stop and comment than any other chicken I've ever had. Such a little cutie.

I was thinking roo for a long time but I would have expected some wattle/comb by this age on a normal chicken. I keep telling myself to not bother trying to guess anymore until he/she is older than three months, but it's too hard not to wonder . The suspense is killing me!

Of course! I can't stand when I'm looking at old threads so I can compare but then the poster never comes back to say what theirs turned out to be

Sad news everybody. My mystery polish chicken went missing a few days ago. All signs point to a hawk having taken him/her. We'll never know what the gender was I guess.

I don't think I'm going to try raising this breed again. They were very cute and funny looking, but I usually have few and infrequent losses to predators. Both of the two polish I was raising were taken within the same few weeks. I guess their pretty heads are too tempting for predators .
