PolishPrincess. My daughter bought polish chicks from Sandhill last year. She has the self black and the blue. She also has the white crested blue but there is a difference in the colors of blue. She sold her black rooster but still has a black hen. She has her blue hens in with a white crested black roo and they have produced some beautiful blue laced chicks. They are only 2 weeks old. Don't know what they will look like when they are grown. Sandhill is difficult to order from but their polish are very beautiful.
I'd love to see pics when they're adults. Polish colors can be so random. I crossed my WCB hen to my White Sultan and got a blue hen as the offspring. Someone was carrying the blue gene somewhere.
You really never know what you're going to get with the breed!
I remember looking into Sandhill earlier this year. Unfortunately, the 'no sexing' rule knocked the hatchery out of my final choices. (We already have a roo problem as it is.) Their choices are amazing though! I've seen about 10 types of chicks no other hatchery has to offer.
Here are a couple of my mixed chicks. These were mixed with a red hen.
The color keeps changing. I can't wait to see what they come out looking like.
I also crossed several of my roos with a splash Polish hen and ended up with a lot of blue chicks with no crests
