I had always read that Polish eggs were anywhere from small to tiny, so was surprised when my Polish hen started laying the largest eggs of all my chickens. They are all bantams...we have Cochins, Silkies, D'Uccles, EEs, Brahmas, and one Polish (Tyra) who lays this really big white egg. Just wondered if this was anyone else's experience. She doesn't lay one every day, maybe every other day...we always say Tyra lays an egg whenever Tyra feels like it...

My orpington's eggs are larger than the polish eggs I got for hatching but I wouldn't call them "small" at all. They look to be USDA "medium" or above. I guess if you're used to large and xlarge eggs then they would look small.
