Polish Hen or Rooster!? Let’s Play!

Hi friends! This is my friends polish “hen” which she heard a strange noise from this morning! She said it kind of sounded like a crow but wasn’t sure.. maybe just an odd noise? “She” is 5.5 months old. What do you all think! I told her you all are VERY accurate!

Unless someone else can zoom in closer and clearer, I'm not seeing any pointy saddle feathers which they would definitely have at 22 weeks. Wattles are pretty red, could be a pol pullet. Females can and do crow when there is no male around, just usually not to the extent a male would.

She's a pullet and is just about to lay from the looks of her wattles.

That's a pullet, I see NO pointy saddle feathers and her head dress is lady bob not rockstar.

They get red like that about 1 month before laying onset. And as lay approaches some do tend to get chatty.. usually like a low pitched sounding bawk.

Looks like a lady to me. Smooth pompom of a hen, instead of the wild hair do of a roo.
