Polish is bleeding

If it's from picking, you can get Blu-Kote at the feed store and paint the arrea. It will be purple but it keeps them from getting picked at and it helps them heal

Treat the area just like you would if you were bleeding. Clean gently with warm soap and water. Pat dry and apply neosporin (WITHOUT THE PAIN RELIEF MEDICATION....IT'S TOXIC TO CHICKENS). Keep him separated from the others for a few days to help a good scab form. You also want to keep him in an area where flies can't get to him. The last thing you need is a maggot infestation.

There is also a spray you can get at the feed store called screw worm spray. It helps heal the wound and flies won't lay eggs on tissue that is sprayed with it.

Just a little hint....prepare a 'chicken first aid kit' this week. You never know when you'll need something. Best to be prepared. Search first aid on this forum to get ideas of what you should have. It doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg either. Just a few things you should have is
Generic brands are fine:

Betadine (it's a strong antiseptic....mix 25% betadine to 75% water
blood stop powder
neosporin
gauze
screw worm spray
old clean towels or t-shirts
