My 8 month old Polish Roo was running after a hen yesterday and he did a somersault, got up and sort of limped away, but seemed okay. Later in the day the hurt leg was more evident but he was still trying to shake it off and act normal. This morning he came out of the coop doing his "let me get my hands on you" chase to the hens and just kept doing face plants. Then he would get up slowly and walk but carefully and not too sturdy. So, he seems off balance and keeps falling. I picked him up and couldn't feel anything out of whack, but what do I know right? He is eating/drinking acting normal except for the face plants-looks like his front end is too heavy and he falls forward. I have secured him by himself with food and water.

Poor guy. Maybe just the pain of his leg is causing him to do this. Maybe seperate him and give him some down time might help. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I have him in a comfy set-up and hope that some time off will help. I sure hope it's not broken, but I would imagine if it was broken he would not be able to use it at all.

if he's able to move it then more than likely not broken hopefully just a sprain and will be good as new in a few days
