my friend gave me a polish hen and roo suppousedly.. he was unsure of it however, is there a way of knowing if the 2 polish i have are hens or roos? their a good size..

is there a way that their head feathers are that you can tell?

The points on the males crest feathers will be sharp, the hens will be round

Well the one I suspect to be the hen's hair isnt round, but it isnt pointy either.. it looks like a buzz cut actually.. any idea?

Depends on how old they are. I can tell my Polish boys by the time they are 2-3 months old because their waddles and comb begin to grow. By 3 months they are trying to crow.

Hi,
I have some and I can clearly tell the roosters from the hens, the roosters have the V shape comb, big waddles, and very pointy out of control feathery tops hats. The hens have smaller frames and mine have a very even and poofy top hats and no waddles at all. Mine are White Crested Black Polish and they are going on 7 months old now and laying already. Hope this helps some.

Mine are 3 months old now and the roos have long narrow feathers on their crests where the pullets have more of a bushy rounded appearance to their crests. Here are some pics.
