It does It seems to be doing ok though. We’ve been keeping an extra eye on him/her and s/he is growing at the same rate as the others.

Ooh send tips! I have one 5 year old hen with curled toes so I’ve figured out how to deal with that. We also build a new pen for a bachelor flock since I assumed I’d hatch all roos with my luck

Oh we hatched 10 and at least 3 are for sure cockerels

Ooh send tips! I have one 5 year old hen with curled toes so I’ve figured out how to deal with that. We also build a new pen for a bachelor flock since I assumed I’d hatch all roos with my luck

I’m not really sure that I have many tips! Just that I use crumble feed and dip beak waterers! Also that if they grow out too long we trim them! But if they don’t need it I leave them be!

You are prepared! I seem to have pretty great luck...this year at least. But other than that, this year seems to be pretty unlucky for lots of hatches from people on BYC.
