Well, your "roo" is a very gorgeous pullet.

Are you SERIOUS! Ha! I have been calling him/her my gay boy....I keep finding him/her in the nesting box and yesterday squatted for the feral game rooster that took up here but the comb is way more pronounced than the others! One day I got three polish eggs and figured I must have missed one the day before. Wow. I guess she is getting around to laying much slower than the others. Ha! That is a surprise but not a bad thing unless the tolbunt turn out to be girls.....dang. Wanna guess a sex?

Also I would greatly appreciate some guidance when the time draws near. I now know I am going to have to separate the feral rooster and the polish. I will give him the barred rock and the cuckoo marans in their own pen.

And on your GL roo/hen, LOL. I had one like that too. Even after she laid an egg I still wondered if she was a roo! She had roo hair. And even now she mounts one of my other girls now and then! Sheesh.

Seminolewind, he/she tried to mount the barred rock a couple weeks ago....got on sideways and I thought "Poor boy, needs some instruction!" I will keep a closer eye out on the egg laying thing. He was such a sweet roo too! Now I have to get used to saying Claudette again!

I am hoping to go near Miami once school is out. I may have located some O shamo. Am waiting to see if the hatches went well. Seriously, do you need a GL hen?
